[mythtv-users] Upgrade to 29 casues wrong aspect ratio on MPEG input

I run a UK satellite box through an RGB scart → s-video converter, and
this feeds a H/W MPEG encoder similar to the Hauppauge PVR cards. This
works fine through stock V4L2 (on CentOS 6).

The conversion strips any knowledge of aspect ratio from the stream,
and so since pretty much everything out of that box is widescreen I have
set the recording profiles to use 16:9 in mythtv-setup. It's been like
that since 2004 (!).

Having updated to 29 last week from 0.28, I'm finding all new MPEG
recordings from this card are being flagged 4:3, so I have to rejig the
aspect ratio when playing back.

  v4l2-ctl --log-status reveals, sure enough:

   ivtv0: Video Aspect: 4x3

I can set the aspect back to 16:9 (--set-ctrl=video_aspect=2) but this
flips back to 4:3 the moment MythTV starts a new recording on it.

For the time being, I've added a frig to my channel-change script to
set it back to 16:9 each time (and I'm hoping MythTV [?] doesn't
re-assert it during the recording [a test running now will prove that]).

As sort-of expected, this generates a recording that starts with a
moment of 4:3 then flips to 16:9 at the time the v4l2-ctl command kicks
in (tested with mplayer).

Is this a bug or am I missing some other option somewhere?
