I've tried rebooting, shutting down mythtv & unplugging the HDMI cable (but
I loose display signal and a reboot is the only thing that brings it back
is a reboot) but the only thing that seems to fix this is powering off the
TV and powering it back on.

I'll try upgrading to 16.04 to get these patches in the near future.
