Be aware that suppressing all repeat capability (so without timeout)
could have as side-effect that pressing the same button twice without
any other button in between even as long as five minutes apart won't
work! So in essence you will need some repeat even if it is 10
seconds.
Also I have encountered with a specific remote that it would fire on
both pressing and releasing, needing a long enough repeat to suppress
that.
