Phil,
I had an issue with the Settings in 1.1.2.  It is fixed in 1.1.3, which is
in the beta channel.  I will promote it up and you should see it in a few
hours.  Let me know if you are still having issues.  In the meantime, can
you let me know what version of mythtv you are connecting to as well as the
type of phone/tablet?
