My, aren't you negative.

1. I am not convinced what I am proposing would really be called
scraping... it's close, but I consider scraping about pulling data from a
site for use in a way it was not intended, not just drawing their html
content via some method beyond a typical web browser.

2. Their interface is not their content... they had an API for a reason,
but many developers were too stupid to create a nice UI and users blamed
NetFliix when device manufacturers completely botched their apps..

3. I didn't say anything about MythTV users deleting their accounts, I was
talking about 'we' netflix users. I just said that forcing vendors to
utilize the NetFlix web interface may really frustrate some users of
devices with NetFlix support built in. For example, assume that Samsung
smart TV's had a great UI for NetFlix that you really liked, by forcing all
Samsungs to replace thier NetFlix app with a web browser that doesn't
deliver an equally satisfying experience.... that may drive some users away
from netflix. Not sure why you felt you needed to go on a rant and suggest
that I have a big ego.
