[mythtv-users] loss of function

Greetings Mythizens, I've recently lost function of one of my digital cards
and my only analog card. I was allowing an update, through update manager,
that involved updates to the BE close to 6pm when recordings were scheduled
to start and or stop, I usually try to time this when not recording because
normally a stop and restart of the BE brought on by the update drops a
minute or two of the recording/s. However eager to get the new SSD
installed, I went ahead anyway. Afterwards one digital card went off line,
upcoming recordings were predominantly circled in red, so I installed the
SSD, which had a two week or so old "rsync" of my OS, 14.04, with myth
0.27. Things seemed better, no red circles, but I am having some problems.

1, I think the  PC800i card is borked as BE set wont detect it, causing red
circles mentioned earlier. ( rebooting an earlier kernel did recognize the
card on two occasions but not the third, so I think it's dead)
2, My analog card "pvr150" is detected, but something is borked in the
channel changing mechanisms. I've revisited the "joy and pain" thread where
I received great assistance getting it working last year, but this is
different:

last year these commands worked, now I get no signal lock in FE live TV on
the analog channels, (functional on the remaining digital card)
