I,ll try the suggestions you made earlier tomorrow. This last thing is the
big frustration, yes it does sound like the FE, it happens in both
attempts. when I go into BE set-up, at least there when I agree to run
mythfilldatabase, I get the terminal to get into mysql,(agreeing to start
the BE starts the loop all over) but when I try to set-up the FE same
Country and first couple of screens but no easy way out, the loop continues
until I shut the box down, I imagine I could stop it in the terminal, I
just haven't looked into that yet. Thanks for the responses.

I run Ubuntu 12.04 and myth0.27.3, which works well I'm trying to upgrade
to 14.04, which has not worked so I'm trying the clean approach, to make it
just a little more confusing I use Mythbuntu Control Center in both systems.
