[mythtv-users] mythbuntu 12.04 mythtv 0.26 no sound except for mythfrontend

So, not exactly a problem with myth... but I have no sound on my frontend
machine except when using mythfrontend.  I am using spdif out of the
mainboard (HDA ATI SB, ALC888 Digital).

I notice in the front end log that it appears myth suspends pulseaudio for
playback, and then re-instates it following playback.  However, killall
pulse audio does not help.

I also notice that user mythtv is part of the audio group, but that my user
is not.  Could that be the problem?
