While you can set a global priority increment specifically for HDTV 
shows, I would recommend using the per-recording-rule HDTV filter, 
instead, so you can say /which/ shows should be recorded in HDTV rather 
than, for example, missing the first airing of an episode of Falling 
Skies just so it can record a Simpsons re-run in HDTV and (assuming the 
schedule doesn't later change) record a later re-run of the Falling 
Skies episode.

Again, as everyone has mentioned, the HDTV filter (or priority) only 
works if your listings data actually differentiates between HDTV and 
SDTV showings (within and across channels).
