Something may be misconfigured, or the software (mythtv or kernel)
may simply be having a fit with that particular tuner.
When it happens with my system here, a reboot is required to "fix" it.

>From a terminal window (or from the ALT-F2 popup):

    killall mythfrontend
    killall mythfrontend.real
