I have no experience with the HDHomeRun; however, you should be aware that 
digital TV doesn't give you any choices about resolution or bit rate. You 
record what the station puts out, so if the show you want to record is in HD, 
you record it in HD, period. You can of course transcode it down in MythTV if 
disk space is an issue, but this takes time, so you might not want to do it 
if you want to watch the show immediately. You can also play back HD 
recordings on an SD TV -- they look more-or-less like DVDs in overall picture 
quality.
