[mythtv-users] DVD playback not working after upgrade to 0.21

Hello list,

When I go to play a DVD using the internal player the DVD will play for a few 
seconds then either shut down mythfrontend or mythfrontend will get stuck 
with Xorg using 100% of CPU cycles.  In addition the auto-play function is no 
longer working.  I don't know if this is related.

I have upgraded mythtv from 0.20 to 0.21 on a Debian box.  I removed mythdvd 
and installed mythvideo which I understand is the correct upgrade path.  
Since the upgrade I am unable to play DVD's although other mythtv functions 
appear to be working.  I have tried different decoders: ffmpeg, libmpeg2, and 
xvmc with no improvement.
