wow ! you nailed it.. on my computer it was set to
MASTER.. when i commented it, it started to work ..
thanks !!

Now the original and more serious problem.. xine never
exits.. it removes the display but it keeps running in
background.. I have to log in and kill xine process..
that is really painful
