[mythtv-users] plextor setup on T41, modular xorg

I decided to see if xfce was doing something funny.  So, I installed
gnome and tried mythtv.  Still, no sound.

$  fuser -v /dev/snd/controlC0

                     USER        PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0:  pvoris     9680 F.... mixer_applet2

I also tried setting it for OSS - which gnome seems equally capable of
using.  Still no dice.


The only info my system's giving me is in /var/log/messages:
