Again, this works perfectly if you are using software-based encoding on 
an el cheapo card like any of the bt8x8 cards.  I have one of these, so 
I just assumed that it worked for everyone.  It is an AWESOME feature 
that I personally love and hope that someone can get it to work for the 
MPEG-2 folks as well.  You might be able to do a real kludge job and 
transcode the video first to MPEG4, THEN use a cut-list to cut the 
commercials out, but I don't know what type of quality issues you will 
run into.  Or, use nuvexport, which supposedly will cut commercials, but 
I think is experimental.

In the end, I'm not sure it is worth it to run on an el cheapo because 
it hinders me from fiddling with my server while it is encoding, but I'm 
not complaining too much.  Guess I will hold off on a PVR-x50 until this 
works for those too.
