The size/position of the X window stuff (setup program and
menus) is controlled using the X/Y offset and Size settings
under setup/appearance (or something like that -- I'm away from
my myth box right now).

The size/position of the OSD is controlled by the "overscan"
settings in the playback setup.

If you're doing NTSC and want to know what I ended up with for
those settings, let me know.  (I'll tell you even if you're not
doing NTSC, but I don't know how useful they'd be).
