[mythtv-users] Divx and HD in MythVideo

I was wondering if there is any way to play Divx in mplayer. Does it work
automatically, or do you have to install a codec of some sort. Also, I was
wondering if there is any way to play HD mpegs and avi's on a standard
definition TV. Is there a way to have it down grade the signal to SD? Thanks
for any help provided.
