I could cry, I just heard back from Ron, Shaw is not willing to enable serial 
port control on the boxes :-( for reasons Ron was not in a position to 
discuss. He did mention that Shaw will be offering a Network PVR feature in 
the future (undetermined date).  I thanked him for his time and asked him who 
I could call in Calgary to voice my displeasure and to continue to push to 
get this feature. He couldn't give me a name so I just called customer 
service and spoke to a supervisor who is going to get in touch with someone 
from Calgary and have them call me back so I can get the full details on 
this. 

Will report back with more info when avail.
