Friends,

(Re: FLIRC)
I've had flaky LIRC response with MCE USB on the mythbox connected to our
main TV (combined FE/BE) since my upgrade to Mythbuntu 16.04-ish (have to
push keys a couple times). I was required to keep it or else find another
transmitter to use in its place with an STB. Reading this thread, I saw
mention of the FLIRC.

OMG - I just got my FLIRC 2 and within minutes I'm using a remote from a
long-dead TV easily with MythTV, including some combo key mappings I setup
for some jump points. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED . For the old eBayers.. A+++++++
would buy again ;)

(On topic): I'm going to try my old PS3 BD remote with the built-in
bluetooth on a RPi 3B+ mythfrontend I'm building. Anybody have experience
with that--specifically do the batteries really run down in a few days on
average? I'm aware of the pages on the wiki. If it's too much hassle, back
to the interwebs for another FLIRC - I've got other old remotes!
