OTA = Over the Air. From an antenna. Tuner needs to handle ATSC for this.

I have Dish with 2 VIP211 satellite boxes with component out, connected 
to 2 HD-PVRs. (Aka "The Analog Hole")
It works great. Mythtv can record anything I can watch.
