[mythtv-users] Backend changes to support Android streaming

Are you in the beta program for MythTV Player? In the settings you can
drop out to an external player. If you aren't getting audio streams in
something like VLC for Android or MX Player, then there has to be something
wrong with your recordings, maybe an invalid audio codec, one that Android
doesn't support?

After an HLS Stream has fully transcoded, you can fast forward/rewind it,
at least that is how I have it in MythTV Player. But until it has fully
transcoded, the android MediaPlayer can't fully determine how far it can go
forward or back. I can't say for certain about the other players out
there, but maybe they support ff/rew after full transcode as well.

If you don't mind my asking, what do you see as a drawback to MythTV Player
vs. Mythling, or any other players out there? Just curious.
