Thanks for your further input, Michael. I guess this is what happened, I 
probably scanned for channels, then ran mythfilldatabase--in fact, I know 
I did that.

I had no problem setting up my analog cable video sources in this way, so 
I guess things continue to work as they always have there. But somehow 
setting up OTA video sources, it seems, has to be done in a certain 
way--is that correct? So, are the proper steps for setting up OTA video 
sources; 1) scan for channels; 2) find and enter xmltvid's for the found 
channels; and 3) run mythfilldatabase?
