The "New epidode" filter uses the previouslyshown flag in the program
table.  For Schedules Direct videosources, the previouslyshown flag is
controlled by a hidden setting called NewEpisodeWindow and the
originalairdate field as you describe.  If you are using SD, did you
modify the setting?  You probably didn't, but I'm trying to cover all
bases.  For videesources which use XMLTV grabbers, the previouslyshown
flag is controlled by the "previously-shown" tag in the XML file.  Are
you using an XMLTV grabber?  If so, then the problem is upstream.
