With a bit of trickeration, its entirely possible to build a minimal
subset of the media_build drivers for only what you need, but it does
require some Makefile hacking and/or some manual build calls...

Optionally, one could just patch the mceusb driver (whichever one it is)
in their distro kernel and build just that. Lots of options here, really,
its just that a full media_build is (theoretically) the easiest and
requires the least amount of understanding of what all is actually going
on... ;)
