Thanks the following appears to have worked for me.  Can't tell for
sure as I deleted all my guide data before I started and the RT web
site is not working so I do not know for sure but it has compiled
without any major errors, failed a few tests but it grabs the empty
files and tv_grab_uk_rt --version displays 2010/08/16 01:26:44.

sudo apt-get remove xmltv
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
sudo make install
