Well, I just greped through the source and saw the help text which
reads "Use the video as the timebase and warp the audio to keep it in
sync. (Experimental)"
If I saw the words "warp the audio" and "(Experimental)" I would
definitely not flip the switch to "on" unless my audio sounded like it
needed warping.
When some people need features that most people don't need, the only
thing you can do is warn them, turn it off by default and hope they
don't turn it on.
I guess the alternative would be to either hide the setting somewhere
it doesn't really belong or take it out of the UI and make it REALLY
difficult for the people who need it. Which are you suggesting should
happen?
If you are in fact suggesting a setting for "Advanced Option" and one
for "Common Options", then I think that's a great idea and you should
post it as a feature request or code it up and submit the patch. It
might be nice to cut down on those settings screens for people who
don't need stuff like experimental options.
