I have the exact same motherboard and until yesterday I used the onboard
8300 graphics with VDPAU for DVB-S2 1080i contents. I have the same
experience regarding deinterlacing.

Yesterday I received the Gainward 8400GS 512MB graphics card I ordered on
friday, and this makes all the difference. With this card I can use
Temporal 2X on the HD channels. It also solved a problem I had with
probably high bitrate channels like BBC HD.
