[mythtv-users] SATA errors? ata3.00 exception

I've got a bunch of errors that look like this:

ata3.00: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x28000000 action 0x2 frozen
ata3.00: irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error
ataa3: SError: { Dispar BadCRC }
ata3.00 : cmd a0/01:00:00:00:fc/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0 dma 12902 in
ata3.00: status { DRDY }

These occur when I try to play or rip a DVD. I gather that it's some sort of
SATA/PATA error and I've tried the following with no luck:

Unplugging USB devices
Setting noacpi and noirqdebug switches on boot
Some other things that escape me

These things had no effect. I read something about switching SATA options to
native in the BIOS but I don't see any such options in my BIOS.

All these items worked with a previous motherboard. I'm using an Abit
A-N78HD now.
