The easy solution is to put it back the other PCI slot :)


1. check do you have ivtv firmware files in /lib/firmware... maybe
download firmware again

2. check your modprobe options (probably in /etc/modprobe.d/ or
/etc/modprobe.conf). delete everything about ivtv, rmmod ivtv &&
modprobe ivtv ... there might be something which tells ivtv where to
search for pvr500. ivtv usually does not need any modprobe options,
and you can delete all. you can also delete options for videodev etc
if there are any.

3. try loading ivtv module with "modprobe ivtv debug=1", you might
find more info

4. ask your question on ivtv nothing else works. your problem is ivtv
problem and people on the ivtv list might help you more.
