Make backup copies of /etc (and others) to my 2 big drives.

I downloaded the 4.0 ISO last night ... thanks to everyone who made it
possible. I'm planning to upgrade this weekend ... I think.

I am continuing to have ripping problems on DVDs. I corrected the
permission problems on the temp and target directories, so now it says
it's starting the rip, but after less than a minute it quits. Here is the
mtd.log entry:

20:31:51: launching job: job dvd 1 1 -1 0 -1
/data/myth/dvd/video/HIGH_SCHOOL_MUS - Title 1
20:31:51: Using DVD source: /dev/dvd
20:31:51: ISO DVD image copy to: /data/myth/dvd/video/HIGH_SCHOOL_MUS -
Title 1_001of
20:32:38: Error: DVDISOCopyThread dvd device read error
20:32:39: job failed: job dvd 1 1 -1 0 -1
/data/myth/dvd/video/HIGH_SCHOOL_MUS - Title 1

I'm guessing it may be a dcss failure, but that's a newbie stab.

Anyway, my inclination is to abandon troubleshooting this until I've done
the 3.2 -> 4.0 upgrade because my problem may go away.

My real question is, what does this mean to me?

According to the MythDora 3.2 rpm database, I have installed:

[root at xena lbarnes]# got video4linux
video4linux-kmdl-2.6.18-1.2257.fc5smp-20061107-77.fc5.at
video4linux-20061107-77.fc5.at

My capture cards are a pair of pvr-150s.

Should I not upgrade?

TIA,
