[mythtv-users] Signal strength, Freeview uk.

I think it's actually showing around 18-25% (can't remember), though I have
a feeling that I 've seen something saying that
 Myth/v4l might get this wrong.

If this is an inherited aerial from the previous resident it's likely it's
all set up fine for analogue but they never got round to doing freeview.
I've had Freeview since the On Digital days (still have the box), even when
we lived 3 miles from Crystal palace it was still problematic,
that's why I suggest getting a professional in. You CAN do it on your own
but a pro can do it much quicker. There's plenty of advice out there on the
net on getting good reception. It boils down to: The right aerial, in the
right place, good cable (satellite grade), good connections. My dad ended up
with a professionally fitted dedicated freeview aerial, and he used to
build/repair his own TVs!
