The above rpm command returned the following:

qt-MySQL-3.3.8-4.fc7

So it is installed.

I thought it might be a 64bit problem, I just finished reinstalling
from the i386 dvd and setup everything again and it still give the
same exact problem.

I have even gone as far as disabling completely the selinux stuff.
