I went with it because it doesn't re-transmit wirelessly but uses a wire (that can be extended with telephone wire.  I also connected com port 1 on my mythbox as another receiver and i can blast IR to all my units.  Works very well for building macros.  I have it power on my projector and receiver all with the power button on my mythbox.Mitchell
