Well, mythbackend itself wouldn't perform any differently. It's not
written as a parallel application. You can't just launch any given
program on a cluster and get more performance -- it has to be written
with clustering in mind, or you have to run multiple copies so they
can be distributed to different cluster nodes.
The best application for this would probably be transcoding and
commercial flagging. There's already a queueing arrangement in
place, you'd just have to send one job to each node in the cluster.
