 	One of these isn't a yagi at all... it's a log-periodic.  Almost 
all TV antennas consumers buy and put on their roof are not yagis, but 
rather log-periodic.  Think of them as a broadband, high-gain yagi. 
They're easy to build as well... especially for UHF TV frequencies, and 
can be designed to work over any bandwidth, and have lots of gain if you 
want.

 	Of course if your signals don't come from roughly the same 
direction, you'll still need multiple antennas or a rotor.
