[mythtv-users] DViCO Fusion HDTV 5 Gold NTSC setup

I didn't have any problems with the analog tuner of the DViCO Fusion. BUT,
and a big but, Myth seems think the V4L card is a completely separate tuner
than the DVB portion, and they appear to fight with one another. I don't
see a way to tell Myth that the V4L and DVB cards are one shared resource.
I posted to the list asking if anyone had managed to successfully configure
the analog side of a DVB card in Myth, but didn't get any responses. Other
posts I found in the archives seem to suggest that people are generally
using an additional card for analog channels.

I also could get the Fusion 5 Gold working as a QAM tuner but had trouble
with analog tuning. You should be able to set it up just like any other v4l
card. I was able to get mine to work but the picture appears washed out
(looks fine with QAM) and also the sound doesn't come in until you change
the channel. There are some serious problems with the cx88 drivers even in
the latest kernel (I also am using 2.6.15), so I don't think we are the only
ones. BTW, it looks as though you have the correct drivers loaded. You may
want to make sure it's detecting the correct card using dmesg and try using
tvtime to tune some channels.
