no mplayer is *not* the internal player.

Many movies use 2.35 aspect ratio, its also known as Super Panavision.

I never said it was true 16:9, only that the original source was 16:9 but with
black bars to take up the extra space, and those black bars have been removed
to allow all the bitrate of the xvid encode to be used for actual
information. If you've ever watched a DVD of a movie on your computer you
will understand what I'm talking about.

I'm using SVN, I don't see such an option. There is a force aspect ratio
option I have set to 16:9 so that my 16:9 content stays 16:9 and my 4:3
content is stretched (I have a 4:3 tv with anamorphic letterbox mode, so this
lets me watch 4:3 fullscreen properly and 16:9 content in anamorphic mode
properly). The problem is, I can't change this aspect ratio to anything but
the 4:3 and 16:9 options so the 2.35 gets stretched to 1.777 and looks really
weird.
