I'm not too worried about my laptop right now. The modeline I'm using is the 
one the laptop monitor shows in EDID, I'm using the ati drivers.
I've read about the pink bar problem on this very list, which is why its 
something I'm concerned about on the desktop cards if I look at getting one. 
I'm going to want to run 1080i with Xv, so if theres a known card/driver 
combination that won't have this issue, then thats what I'll use, I just want 
to hear form those that might know more about it.
