[mythtv-users] Live TV looks odd after upgrade (and other stuff)

Recently went from 0.18.1 to SVN (Dec 31st,I think).

When I watch live TV (HD 16:9 TV) it looks like it's extremely
letterboxed - something like you'd see on a 2.0+ anamorphic DVD.
Previously it had bars on the side and filled the screen top to
bottom, now it's got BIG bars on the top and bottom and fills the
screen side to side.

Another strange one is I don't think it's switching to standard
640x480 (watch tv mode is configured differently than GUI mode).
Here's a few relavant lines from the frontend log:

2006-01-03 06:47:04.717 Opening audio device 'default'.
DisplaResX: XRRSetScreenConfigAndRate() call failed.
2006-01-03 06:47:05.001 SwitchToVideo: Video size 640 x 480: xrandr failed for 6
40 x 480
2006-01-03 06:47:06.011 Realtime priority would require SUID as root.
2006-01-03 06:47:06.026 TV: Changing from None to WatchingPreRecorded

Another thing I noticed today is I walked off and left a pre-recorde
show paused. Looks like about every 0.15 seconds (roughly) it printed
this in the log:

2006-01-03 06:56:54.511 WriteAudio: buffer underrun

Keep in mind the frontend was sitting in a paused previously recorded
show. There were a total of 366,959 messages printed in the log in a
period of 12.5 hours.

Enough for now. Can't say enough about MythTV. I'm slowly converting
all the folks at work over. :)
