sorry, must have missed that.

So is there a way to have a global pre/post roll for specific inputs
tha the scheduler *will* take into account?

I suggest:
This global setting allows the recorder to start before the scheduled
start time if the tuner is not in use. The scheduler does not take
this value into consideration, it is applied after shows have been
scheduled.

This global setting allows the recorder to record beyond the scheduled
end time if the tuner is not needed. The scheduler does not take this
value into consideration, it is applied after the shows have been
scheduled.
