[mythtv-users] Database Connectivity Issues after upgrade from CVS

Would there be any harm in copying the settings.pro file out, then
doing a make distclean, then removing the myth directory and just
doing cvs as from scratch? Seems almost as easy. Anything else I
would need to backup or reasons why this would be a bad idea?

P.S. I sent this to brad only accidently and now I'm resending it to
the list. I already did what I mentioned above. Now I'm having a
hard time getting to the database. my frontend/backend is the same
machine, but it seems like it's not making good connections to the
database. When I run mythfilldatabase I get this:

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK

    [  <=>

You probably should modify the Master Server settings
in the setup program and set the proper IP address.

I've verified that the server backend IP is correct. Any clue how to
troubleshoot this? It appears to me that it's getting info from the
database. When I launch the front end, it launches fine and I can
watch liveTV, but if I try to go to settings in the frontend it says
it can't connect to the database. What's going on?
