did you have any problems with the nforce2 chipset linux compat/tv-out?
i'm kind of assuming theirs drivers for it ... then again i might not
even use it.

the EP-8RDA6+Pro actually has 6 sata ports using 2 differnet chips ...
2x SATA by MCP, 4x SATA with RAID 0/1/10 by Sil-3114

i don't think MCP is supported by linux tho, at least i didn't see it on
http://linux.yyz.us/sata/

haven't thought much about raid 10, since i think raid 5 satisfies my needs
and i don't want hardware (fake or not) raid anyway.

not sure how to specify V on the fans ... play with some wires i guess?

i'm planning on getting PS and fans as well, which i think is worth
the extra $60.
whew, am i crazy. still in my newegg queue -- i should get something
for posting all these newegg links! maybe i should just post the
specs or manuf. links ... o well

COOLMAX 400W CX-400B, BLACK, Taurus CX Series Silent Power Supply; 1 x
120mm fan, 3 Speed Fan Control Switch ( Auto, Low, Medium). $39.99
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-159-023&depa=0

Cooler Master 120mm Green Neon LED Fan, Model "TLF-S12-EG" $9.49
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-999-063&depa=0

Vantec "Stealth" 120mm Case fan, Model "SF12025L" $11.99
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-999-614&depa=0

planning to replace the factory Antec fan with the vantec since i'm
sure it's noisy as heck.. and add the coolmaster to the drive bay.
after getting the PS, i figured might as well fork up the extra $$
since otherwise there's no point.

oh, i'll probably need a new fan for my 1Ghz proc also! damn

now my wife gets to buy finer makeup, and tell me how irrational i am. ;)

can't thank everyone enough for their input on this thread!
