I didn't try TV-out, I use a PVR-350 for that.

Oh, so that's a bit different from mine, which just has the 4-port
Sil-3114.

(But even it is impossible to hear except if the room is silent and
you try to listen for it.)

Yep.  I'm not an expert with putting a system together and had someone
help me do it.
