[mythtv-users] Crashes with 0.16 - anyone else?

I too have been seeing these. I boot up fine, can work in Fedora just fine,..launch
myth just fine but if I try to watch video, listen to music or watch recordings or live TV,
my system locks, my SSH session locks, and my mythbox produces a high pitched
sound. The only recourse is a hard reboot. Since it happens in mythmusic as well, I
assume it is not ivtv. The only thing that I can think of that I introduced when it first
happened is a Logitech Wireless keyboard (USB Connected) along with LinEAK utility
to make the internet access keys on the keyboard perform macros. It happens even if
linkeakd is not running so I'm unsure if that is the cause.
Myth .16 via ATrpms
Fedora Core 1
most other stuff done following Jarod's FC1 Guide
Via chipset
Apollo KT266/A/333 AGP Motherboard
nVidia 6111 display driver (on Riva TNT card)
PVR250 and PVR350 (no TV out being used) with ivtv
SB Audigy Sound Card

It varies in that sometimes this happens 100% of the time but other times it's fine for a
while. For example, last night we had a poker game and I use Mythmusic to play
music and throw a pretty cool visual on the plasma screen. It was playing for a few
hours just fine, then mid-song and for no apparent reason, it locked and produced the
high pitched sound.

Let me know if anything in my setup triggers any thoughs.
--------------------
I understand that MythTV *shouldn't* be able to "crash" my system
completely...however:

0.15 runs PERFECTLY. I use it all the time, and I never have any problems
with it at all.

Building 0.16 went fine, but my system hangs completely after just a few
seconds when watching recordings or live TV. The video freezes on the
screen, and the keyboard becomes totally unresponsive. My SSH session from
another PC stops responding as well. The only thing that it DOES respond to
is ICMP echo requests...how exciting. =)

After failing to figure anything out at all, I went back to the old 0.15
build directory and did "make install". Now I'm running 0.15 again, and
everything is working perfectly again.

I'm partially inclined to just ignore 0.16 and forget about it... it seems
like I might be the only one with the problem, but figured one last message
to the list might be worthwhile.

Thanks to everyone who has ever contributed to this project. I love my
MythTV system, and I'm grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to get
the project where it is today!!
