[mythtv-users] native lirc support fails- "connection refused"

That link didn't really say much about permissions, but here is what
I've been using -->
crwxrwxrwx 1 root root 61, 0 Oct 14 22:53 /dev/lirc0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 Oct 14 23:26 /dev/lircd -> lirc0
I set the mode to 777 manually on /dev/lirc0
