You have specified the wrong tuner type. You probably have the TCL
2002N tuner--which is not yet supported by the tuner module that ships
with the Linux kernel. Therefore, you need to do some patching.

Please post:
Your distribution
The ivtv-related info from mod{ules,probe}.conf
The ivtv initialization info, which can be obtained from your system log
file--assuming /var/log/messages--with:

tac /var/log/messages |
sed -n '/=  END INIT IVTV  =/,/= START INIT IVTV =/p;
        /= START INIT IVTV =/q' |
tac

Depends on which video card you're using currently. If the video
drivers for your current card support the X Windows Video extension, Xv
(you can find out by running xvinfo--"no adapters found" is bad), you
probably won't see much difference. If they don't support Xv, you'll
see a huge difference.
