I didn't catch that he was using the Aver. My mind defaulted to the

I just know my GeForce FX 5200 is ugly on Svideo regardless the kernel
driver version.

I would just really love it if HDMI could save us all some trouble, at
least with HDTV, though I doubt it will (that's just me being cynical).
I guess I don't even know how much does the HDMI standard encompasses...
