[mythtv-users] prebuffering pause

I don't know if this will help, but here goes...
I have DVB-T running on a Abit IC7-G, P4 2.4C, 512Mhz Ram, 120Gb IDE HD - not a slow system by any means. When I added a SATA HD, the picture started to break up (continuous errors in the DVB TS stream). The CPU usage was at 10% so that wasn't the problem.
After a lot of prodding, I fixed it by disabling the onboard sound (I have an M-Audio Rev 7.1) and the onboard firewire. I don't know the exact problem that it fixed, but it's been working fine ever since, now with 3 SATA drives. If anyone knows, I'd like to know.
