To answer both questions, as noted, I'm running 2 250's; a rev
(freestyle) and a rev 2.  We get minor startup/channel change stutter,
but only for a second or less.  

Note that there seems to be a *minimum* reasonable bitrate; when we
went much below 3000 average, we had more problems.
