[mythtv-users] Commercial IR transmitter

Anshuman, I was in the same boat, multiple attempts to build the
improved one with no success. But on a whim I decided to build the
simple ir transmitter (top one on this page
http://www.lirc.org/transmitters.html), and it worked like a charm. The
range is maybe a meter at the most, but for my purposes thats fine as
I'm just going to mount it in a box and put that in front of the ir
sensor on my cable box. I've also never gotten the reciever circuit to
work either :( You had any luck with that?
